Partnerships for the Goals
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development
Sustainability Literacy
Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University) promotes and evaluates sustainability literacy among students through a structured academic and assessment process. The University incorporates mandatory courses and dedicated courses on sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its academic programmes.
The syllabi of the Engineering, Health Sciences, and Arts and Sciences disciplines are reviewed and mapped against the relevant SDGs to ensure that sustainability concepts are integrated into discipline-specific learning.
Students are frequently evaluated through Google Forms to assess their understanding, awareness and retention of sustainability-related concepts. Based on the assessment outcomes, re-evaluations are also conducted to measure improvements in student learning and identify areas requiring further awareness and academic reinforcement.
This continuous process of curriculum integration, assessment and re-evaluation enables VMRF (DU) to strengthen sustainability knowledge and encourage students to apply SDG principles in their professional and personal lives.
