AVMC&H Participates in International Research Collaboration on Antimicrobial Resistance
Aarupadai Veedu Medical College & Hospital (AVMC&H), Puducherry, Vinayaka Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), is represented in an international collaborative research study investigating antimicrobial susceptibility patterns in community-acquired uropathogenic Escherichia coli.
The study brought together 37 research centres across 13 countries, spanning Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. It examined antimicrobial susceptibility patterns across different economic and geographical settings, generating comparative evidence relevant to the understanding and management of antimicrobial resistance.
Dr. Sarman Singh, affiliated with AVMC&H, is listed among the participating authors. The publication confirms that the listed authors participated in the study and shared the research data, demonstrating the institution’s involvement in international scientific collaboration and data sharing.
This research contribution supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
- SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: Strengthening evidence-based approaches to antimicrobial resistance and infection management.
- SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Promoting international scientific cooperation, collaborative research and knowledge sharing.
