About this goal
VMRF (DU) promotes Gender Equality by providing equal educational and professional opportunities for all. The University encourages women’s participation in education, healthcare, research, leadership and professional development. It fosters an inclusive and respectful learning environment through awareness programmes on women’s health, reproductive health, and gender sensitivity. Students and staff are encouraged to value equality, dignity, and mutual respect. Gender-responsive approaches are incorporated into institutional policies, academic programmes and community outreach, supporting women’s empowerment, leadership, and equal opportunities.

The University can contribute to SDG 5 by encouraging the academic and professional advancement of women, supporting women’s participation in research and leadership, promoting gender awareness, and ensuring that students and employees are treated with dignity and fairness.
