Reduced Inequalities

Reduce inequality within and among countries

About this goal

VMRF (DU) promotes Reduced Inequalities by supporting inclusive access to education and healthcare for people from diverse social and economic backgrounds. Scholarships, financial assistance, and student-support initiatives help reduce barriers to higher education. The University provides equal opportunities for academic and professional development through inclusive learning environments. Community outreach, rural healthcare, and awareness programmes extend support to underserved and vulnerable communities.

Why this goal matters to us

VMRF (DU) can contribute to SDG 10 by promoting inclusive and equitable access to higher education, encouraging diversity, and fostering a respectful learning environment. Through student support services, academic mentoring, skill-development opportunities, and inclusive educational practices, the University can help students from diverse backgrounds participate in academic and professional development.

VMRF DU can further support the reduction of inequalities by promoting awareness of social inclusion, equal rights, accessibility, and non-discrimination. Community outreach, inclusive campus facilities, collaborations with social organisations, and support for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, wherever implemented, can help create opportunities for broader participation in education and society. These efforts can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable community.
