Affordable and Clean Energy
Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all
About this goal
Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all. It emphasises the use of renewable energy, improved energy efficiency, and the development of sustainable energy systems to meet present and future needs.
Why this goal matters to us
VMRF (DU) is contributing to SDG 7 by promoting energy conservation, improving energy efficiency across campus facilities, and encouraging the responsible use of electricity and other energy resources. Through energy-conscious campus operations, awareness programmes, and the adoption of energy-efficient technologies, the University can support sustainable energy practices and reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
VMRF (DU) can further advance SDG 7 through initiatives such as solar energy utilisation, energy-efficient lighting, energy audits, and the incorporation of energy-efficient technologies in campus buildings, wherever implemented. By encouraging students, faculty, and staff to adopt energy-saving practices, the University can strengthen environmental responsibility and contribute to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
