Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels
About this goal
VMRF (DU) supports Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by promoting professional ethics, human values, social responsibility, and responsible governance. Academic programmes encourage ethical practices, social justice and respect for human rights. The University promotes transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through quality-assurance mechanisms. Grievance-redressal systems and student welfare measures support safety, dignity, and an inclusive environment.
Why this goal matters to us
VMRF (DU) can contribute to SDG 16 by promoting ethical governance, institutional accountability, and a culture of integrity across its academic and administrative activities. Through transparent procedures, responsible decision-making, adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and the promotion of ethical values, the University can strengthen trust among students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.
VMRF DU can further support SDG 16 by encouraging respect for human rights, equal treatment, peaceful conflict resolution, and awareness of ethical and civic responsibilities. Appropriate grievance-redressal mechanisms, policies against discrimination and harassment, and awareness programmes on integrity and responsible conduct can help foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment. Collaboration with public institutions, community organisations, and other stakeholders can further strengthen the University’s contribution to responsible governance and sustainable development.
