Our Approach

VMRF(DU) is committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land) by promoting the conservation of terrestrial ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and encouraging the sustainable use of natural resources. Our approach focuses on enhancing green spaces, supporting tree plantation initiatives, protecting native flora and fauna, and fostering environmental responsibility across our campuses and surrounding communities.

Through environmental awareness programmes, biodiversity-related research, campus greening initiatives, responsible land management, and community outreach, we strive to strengthen the understanding of ecosystem conservation and the importance of maintaining ecological balance. We encourage students, faculty, researchers, and staff to participate in activities that promote afforestation, habitat protection, soil conservation, and the prevention of environmental degradation.

By integrating biodiversity conservation and sustainable environmental practices into education, research, campus operations, and community engagement, VMRF (DU) aims to contribute to healthier ecosystems, improved environmental quality, and a sustainable future for present and future generations, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
