VMRF(DU) is committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) by promoting climate change awareness, reducing environmental impacts, and encouraging sustainable practices across its campuses and surrounding communities. Our approach focuses on environmental responsibility, energy conservation, efficient resource utilisation, climate education, and the adoption of practices that contribute to a low-carbon and climate-resilient future.

Through environmental awareness programmes, tree plantation initiatives, energy conservation measures, waste reduction, sustainable resource management, and academic engagement, we strive to strengthen the university community’s understanding of climate change and its impacts. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to participate in activities that promote greenhouse gas emission reduction, environmental stewardship, disaster preparedness, and the protection of natural resources.

By integrating climate awareness into education, research, campus operations, and community outreach, VMRF (DU) aims to contribute to climate change mitigation, strengthen resilience to climate-related risks, and support a sustainable future in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
