Responsible Consumption and Production
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
Our Approach
How this goal is embedded in teaching, research, operations and outreach.
VMRF(DU) is committed to advancing Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting the efficient use of resources, minimising waste generation, and encouraging sustainable consumption and production practices across its campuses. Our approach emphasises resource conservation, waste reduction, reuse and recycling, responsible procurement, and environmental awareness to foster a culture of sustainability within the university community.
Through waste segregation, responsible disposal practices, paper conservation, efficient utilisation of water and energy, and the adoption of environmentally conscious operational practices, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to embrace responsible consumption habits, minimise single-use materials, and participate in sustainability initiatives that promote resource efficiency and a circular economy.
By integrating sustainability principles into campus operations, academic activities, research, and community engagement, VMRF (DU) aims to foster responsible consumption, reduce waste, and contribute to a resource-efficient and environmentally sustainable future in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
